Lower Crabb guest wing has recently been redecorated. The bedrooms are light and airy, furnished with a very English country, vintage style. The bedrooms have lovely views of fields to the nearby village. The beds are piled high with vintage quilts and pillows. Our bed linen is dried on a washing line to smell of the fresh air. Tea and coffee, complimentary sherry are in every room. Hot water bottles & hairdryers, for an old-fashioned touch, extra wool blankets are folded at the foot of your bed.
Both of our B&B bedrooms are accessed by their own staircase, making them very private. The rooms are next to each other and share a large bathroom overlooking the gardens.
Breakfast
Breakfast is included in our nightly rate of £105 and breakfast can accommodate gluten free and vegan diets.
The eggs and bacon are from our favourite farm shop close by (well worth a visit!)
Tomatoes, sausages, mushrooms, yoghurt, fruit and home made marmalade to die for!
The Blue Room
This double bedroom is a stunning light-filled room. It is spacious with extensive views over the main garden of the house and away over the fields and woods beyond.
The Double bedroom is a lovely space, with a sofa, hanging space, chest of drawers tea/coffee and mini fridge.
There is a lovely hand painted blue double bed, piled high with quilts and crisp air-dried sheets and duvet.
The room has the usual tea and coffee facilities etc but also sherry for guests and biscuits and chocolates. There is a selection of books on the bookshelf and many personal things which add heaps of character.
